Not every seller wants payments to happen inside the website. Some prefer to confirm an order by phone or WhatsApp first. This update lets each store decide how customers move forward at checkout.
Why this matters
Seller workflows are not identical. Some want instant payment because inventory moves fast. Others need a quick confirmation call before collecting money. By letting sellers choose the checkout action, the cart now respects those realities.
This reduces friction on both sides. Customers see the exact next step the seller prefers, and sellers avoid forcing a flow that does not match how they fulfill orders.
What customers see now
Depending on the store settings, shoppers can see a Pay button, a Contact button, or both. The Contact option opens quick actions for calling or WhatsApp.
The WhatsApp action includes a prefilled message with the order items, subtotal, and delivery details, so the seller has all the basics without asking repetitive questions.
- Pay only for instant checkout
- Contact only for call-first sellers
- Both buttons when you want to offer choice
How sellers enable it
Go to your Business Profile in the seller account and choose which checkout actions to show. You can switch between Pay, Contact, or both at any time.
We still require at least one action so customers always have a clear path to complete the order.
Key takeaway
Checkout now adapts to your selling style: collect payment instantly, talk first, or give buyers both options.
